'A CORTO DI DONNE' - WOMEN’S SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Screening a selection of films from the Film Festival held in Naples Italy 2009 with the organisers and one of the filmmakers as Guest Speakers Giuseppe Borrone, Adele Pandolfi and Alda Terracciano

'Creative Networks' is the leading monthly networking forum for creative companies in the West Midlands.

Each event is preceded by 'The Music Network' which meets here (please see Item 4 below) from 4pm until 6pm. It is attended by people from all parts of the industry and new members are always welcome.

At our Creative Networks event number 58, we were joined by 110 guests, many of whom were new members. Before going to the Lecture Theatre, we gathered in the café for the opportunity to talk and network with other individuals representing the creative industries across the region.

In addition to our usual evening event, screenings were held from 1pm to 5.30pm followed by Q&A with our guests, filmmaker and artist Alda Terracciano, Italian Film Critic and Artistic Director Giuseppe Borrone, and Film Festival Organiser and Actress Adele Pandolfi.

Thanks must go to our Lecturer colleague Valentina Ippolito for suggesting that we stage these screenings and for providing invaluable assistance in organising this event. We also want to thank, as usual, our audience, guest speakers, catering and reception staff here who gave their usual helpful support to the proceedings. We also appreciate the assistance given by staff here at the Faculty's School of Digital Media Technology, with preparations prior to the event and on the day itself.

You've created something marvellous - a video, a design, a document, a photo or even an audio file - and you'd like to be able to show your client / boss / colleague / friend and ask for their feedback. BUT project management software is overly complicated and file sharing software separates the file and the feedback. What to do, what to do?

Meet ReviewSpace! Like you, we have come up against this problem countless times and decided that enough was enough and we should divert some of the creative minds at Gas Street Works to solving our file sharing and collaborating conundrum.

ReviewSpace is a bite-size chunk of file-sharing and project participation simplicity. It enables clever file sharing, timeline commenting, reviewing and collaboration.
